At Lutron, we put the customer first in all that we do. In our Integrated Systems Department, you will have the opportunity to work within the London pre-sale design team on specification, design, price estimation, quotation, and tender response tasks for Lutron lighting control solutions within commercial, hospitality and residential projects across the UK, Europe, and Africa.
Responsibilities
- Management of customer communication and requests including email, phone calls, and interaction with the Lutron sales team, channel partners, specifiers, designers, and end users.
- Manage enquiries and requests received via email, phone calls and meetings, create related tasks for execution with the design/quotation teams, and follow those through to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Provide customer/sales advice on appropriate Lutron lighting control systems according to customer requirement/market segment/budget through their understanding of Lutron and competitor solutions.
- Create design/specification/estimation/quotation documentation from customer provided electrical and construction drawings, lighting schedules, project specifications, or other information.
- Preparation of design and quotation materials and documentation using a variety of proprietary and commercial software tools.
- Prepare project/tender response documentation.
- Ability to interact with customers and colleagues in both spoken and written formats in an appropriate and professional manner from end users through to senior management.
- Become proficient in the use of Lutron design and quotation tools and software.
- Participate in the implementation of process and efficiency improvements.
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple simultaneous projects/tasks with a methodical approach and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in engineering/architecture/construction/design OR other relevant discipline.
- Experience in an appropriate design/quotation/project role with direct customer interaction.
- English and ideally other European language (French/German/Italian/Spanish preferred).
- Familiar in reading and interpretation of electrical and construction drawings, project specifications, tender and technical documentation.
- Competence in system design, quotation, and project/tender response software including CAD/Estimation/Quotation tools and office (such as Microsoft) programs.
- Able to work in a team environment both face-to-face and virtually.
- Self-motivated and able to plan time effectively.
