Lutron – Orluna is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Project Support Coordinator to support our Major Lighting Designer (MLD) customers. The role includes managing project quotations, preparing technical submissions, coordinating environmental data, handling call‑offs, and processing sample requests. It also involves reviewing take‑off drawings and compiling accurate luminaire schedules to ensure customers receive the right information and samples for their projects. This role is ideal for someone with a solid technical understanding of lighting or electrical products, who is comfortable working with drawings and specifications and is eager to continue developing within the lighting industry. The position works closely with our field‑based MLD Specification Sales team to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural and electrical take‑off drawings.
- Produce accurate luminaire schedules based on drawings and project details.
- Support the MLD team with quotation preparation and technical documentation.
- Assist in selecting appropriate Orluna luminaires for specific applications, with guidance from senior team members where required.
- Coordinate customer and internal sample requests.
- Work with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely sample delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all sample requests and returns.
- Maintain well‑organised and accurate project documentation.
- Update internal systems with current project and quotation information.
- Communicate proactively with internal departments to support project timelines.
- Provide day‑to‑day support to the Sales and Quotations team.
- Track project progress and raise any issues impacting timelines.
- Attend occasional site visits to support designers during project commissioning.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering/architecture/construction/design OR other relevant discipline.
- Experience in a technical lighting support, sales support, or project coordination role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and take‑offs.
- Proven technical understanding of lighting, electrical products, or building services.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
