Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Channel Marketing Manager to help drive the continued growth of our business in the UK and Europe. In this role, you will own the development and execution of high impact marketing strategies focused on lighting control and automated window treatment solutions.

Our company founder, Joel Spira, invented the solid-state dimmer in 1959, and we have continued to make this line of solutions differentiated and value-added to our customers for over 60 years. The role will be responsible for positioning this innovation and the benefit it brings to our professional installer base and the customers they serve. You will translate powerful target audience insights to actionable marketing plans and messaging, and your impact will be growing awareness, adoption, and ultimately sales.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Participate in the development and execution of marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns that grow product adoption and sales.
  • Develop an understanding of Lutron’s goals and target customers for the region.
  • Work with regional sales and business teams to incorporate customer feedback when identifying market needs, current barriers to growth, and possible solutions.
  • Participate in the creation of annual marketing plans and budget, customer research activities, and other strategic growth initiatives related to the focused product category.
  • Understand and leverage branding and marketing materials developed in the US, identifying if and where regional needs differ.

Project Work / Strategy Execution

  • Support the launch of new products by testing and refining messaging, and touchpoint plans to ensure product benefits are effectively showcased and effectively positioned to target audiences.
  • Share and apply external best practices to help improve processes, and develop individual and team skills and knowledge.
  • Become knowledgeable in Lutron’s broader product portfolio and go-to-market approach to maximize your understanding and impact.
  • Measure, track, and optimize campaign performance by establishing KPIs, conducting analysis, and reporting on progress towards achieving peak performance and a high return on marketing investment.

Internal Communication

  • Work collaboratively across various functions including Creative Services (internal and external agencies), Product Management, MarTech, Sales, Data & Analytics, Finance and more.
  • Regularly cross-share with corporate team to understand where goals overlap and where learnings and work can be shared, collaborating on projects as appropriate.
  • Prepare and present updates during regional sales meetings, working closely with sales leadership.

External Communication

  • Oversee Lutron Europe social media and manage external PR agency.
  • Drive and develop email communications for Lutron’s customers.
  • Oversee regional websites and ensure alignment with corporate web strategy.

People Management

  • Manage the UK and European marketing team to successfully implement cohesive and aligned marketing strategies and plans.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. MBA Preferred with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Extensive marketing experience of working in a mid-large size (preferably international) business required, with direct experience in Business to Business (B2B) marketing.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams to develop and execute business and marketing strategies (i.e. business, product management, sales, web, CRM, marcomm, sales ops, service, etc.).
  • Understanding and experience across digital forms of paid, earned and owned media (e.g. paid social, search, PR, website, CRM), sales channel marketing touchpoints (e.g. packaging, merchandising, eCommerce product pages, distributor/retailer advertising) and sales enablement (e.g. training, brochures, demonstrations presentations).
  • Excellent project management, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Understanding of and appreciation for metrics, with proven results.
  • Experience in leading and managing a marketing team.
  • Experience managing external agencies and internal creative services.
