Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician (Workshop Engineer/Forklifts/Automotive) in Burton-on-Trent. Salary: £31,000 - £40,500 + Overtime at 1.5 & 2.0 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + 6% Employer/4% Employee Pension + Life Assurance + Uniform + Parking + Specialist Tooling + Training + Career Progression. Monday to Friday, 40 or 45 Hours Contracts Available.

The role is suitable for engineers from various backgrounds such as plant machinery, forklifts, HGV, agricultural equipment, or similar. Automotive technicians/motor trade applicants are also encouraged as full training will be provided. You should demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills on vehicles or plant equipment.

You will be part of a highly skilled team in a reputable business. The role involves mechanical and electrical service and repair of used forklifts. Responsibilities include ordering spare parts and communicating progress to the Workshop Manager. The position is based at a client’s site, a large automated warehouse in Burton-on-Trent.

• Carry out service and repair work on used forklift trucks in the workshop and on-site.
• Order parts as needed.
• Monday to Friday work schedule.

Candidate requirements:

• Experience working on vehicles, HGVs, forklifts, cars, or plant machinery.
• Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• IT literacy.
