Buyer required for a leading procurement specialist who are part of a global group. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further their experience within procurement whilst working with global suppliers and companies. The company are focused on employee development and can offer scope to progress into a senior role and can support further training.
This role would suit candidates with experience working within a procurement / buying focused role within a FMCG manufacturing or production environment. You will need experience working with engineering or technical products or parts.
The successful Buyer will be joining a small team as part of a wider group responsible for the procurement of machinery and spare parts to FMCG manufactures on a global basis. You will work with both existing suppliers as well as identifying and sourcing new suppliers.
The Buyer Role:
- Procurement of machinery and spare parts for global FMCG companies
- Working with new and existing suppliers
- Receive, compare and evaluate vendor offers
- Preparation of cost sheets
- Negotiating terms and costs with suppliers
- Raising purchase orders
- Using SAP system
