- Mechanical fitting and assembly of machines in line with specifications, drawings and build procedures
- Read and follow engineering drawings
- Use of hand tools and power tools
- Working with rolling element bearings, shafts, plain bearings, liner bearings, ball screws, lead screws, pneumatic components, sensors, motors and gearboxes etc.
- Use of measuring equipment such as verniers, slip gauges, micrometres etc.
