Our client manufactures engineered plastic components in their factory in Burnley. The business is currently expanding and has a vacancy for an Internal Technical Sales Lead. The business manufactures precision components for sectors including FMCG processing machinery, transport systems and bottling/canning processes.
This role would suit an experienced Internal Technical Sales professional with experience in a mechanical engineering industry. Experience with plastics would be strongly preferred. The successful candidate will ideally have an engineering background with a strong working knowledge of engineering processes and capabilities.
The Internal Technical Sales Lead will work within a small team responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and technically sound cost estimates for engineering projects.
The Internal Technical Sales Lead Role:
- Lead the generation of costs and quotations for engineering components
- Collaboration with CAD teams - reviewing engineering / technical drawings and specifications
- Customer Liaison & discussion
- Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
- Identification of risks, opportunities, and value engineering options within project estimate
- Administering of quote to sales order process
- Mentor junior colleagues
