Despatch Supervisor required for a leading manufacturing company with a history of over 35 years. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable business where you will play an integral role. The Despatch Supervisor will be responsible for leading the packing and despatch team of four to ensure high quality products are securely packed and quality checked for shipping. This will be a largely hands-on role where team leadership and coordination will also remain key.

The Despatch Supervisor Role:

  • Hands on and managerial - supervising and training a team of four, plus additional agency staff
  • Allocate daily tasks based on production schedules
  • Inspect finished goods for defects, damages or missing items
  • Utilise materials such as foam edging and bubble wrap to safely secure items
  • Communication between teams and coordinate with the Warehouse Manager timeframes for despatch and generate shipping labels
  • Overtime where required
  • Planning and attention to detail
