The predicted salary is between 34000 - 36000 £ per year.

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £34,000 to £36,000 per year (plus overtime pay: 1.5x Monday‑Saturday AM, 2x Saturday PM and Sunday)

Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:00 (flexibility offered). Saturday morning overtime 6am‑10am available approximately once every two weeks.

About the role:

Mechanical Maintenance Technician required for a well‑established and highly successful company. You will be joining the company at an exciting time as they are currently investing £1m into new equipment. The role is centered on preventive and reactive maintenance of steam‑operated laundry equipment – mainly PLC‑driven machinery with motors, relays, switches and conveyors – and includes oversight of building problems when required.

Responsibilities:

  • React and perform preventive maintenance on laundry equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot PLC‑driven machinery, motors, relays, switches and conveyors.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and problem resolution.
  • Oversee building maintenance issues as needed.
  • Participate in training and development to improve skills and efficiency.
  • Support flexible, days‑based working hours, including Saturday morning overtime.

Candidate profile:

  • Mechanically biased candidate with maintenance and repair background.
  • Experience in any industry is welcome; mechanical bias preferred.
  • Willingness to work in a high‑energy, team‑oriented environment.
