Automation and Instrumentation Technician required for an internationally recognised company with sites across the globe. The Automation and Instrumentation Technician will be joining at an exciting time as the company are setting up a new manufacturing plant in Avonmouth, Bristol.
The successful Automation and Instrumentation Technician can come from any industry where you have worked on automated equipment. Day to day, the Automation and Instrumentation Technician will carry maintenance on Siemens PLCs, SCADA, sensors, transmitters, load cells and measuring devices. The site is expected to become operational later this year so you can initially expect to be involved in the set up and commissioning of new equipment to familiarise yourself.
The Automation and Instrumentation Technician Role:
- Maintain PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, load cells etc.
- Monitor control room alarms to ensure reliability of monitoring systems – includes working with robotic equipment, pneumatics, sensors, barcode reading equipment etc.
- Ensure equipment operates safely
