We’re working with a leading Global Insurance organisation to appoint Risk Officers into their Risk function. They are searching for Risk Specialists, one with a General Insurance background and one with a London Markets background to sit in separate Risk teams.
Critical to success will be developing meaningful, collaborative business relationships to influence, challenge and verify risk decision-making in order to proactively manage risk. The role offers the opportunity for close engagement with the wider Group Risk and Compliance function.
Key Responsibilities:- Risk Advisory and Oversight: Build a strong understanding of business operations, strategic objectives, and the wider commercial environment to provide effective independent risk oversight and constructive challenge. Conduct independent reviews of key risk areas, using both qualitative assessment and data-driven analysis to identify emerging issues and recommend improvements to risk management practices.
- Governance and Reporting: Contribute to enterprise-wide risk assessment activities, including organisation-wide risk and capital evaluations. Support the development and maintenance of risk and control assessment frameworks, helping to strengthen the overall control environment. Assist in producing governance reports and briefing materials for senior leadership, committees, and external supervisory bodies.
- Risk Culture and Accountability: Promote a proactive approach to risk management across the organisation by encouraging strong ownership of risks and controls. Work with business stakeholders to ensure significant risk and control issues are identified, addressed, and appropriately monitored.

- General or London Markets Experience (essential)
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory regimes (e.g. Solvency II)
- Strong understanding of control environments and ability to assess and challenge risk and control assessments.
