Lutine Bell are working with a specialty and reinsurance client who have recently been established as a Lloyds of London cover holder.
With that in mind, the primary responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing regulatory advice to the business across various subject areas, including licensing requirements.
- Collaborating with the business to implement practical processes that ensure compliance with relevant Lloyd’s principles.
- Overseeing second-line processes to ensure activities, such as writing business, occur only where licensing permits.
- Coordinating with the syndicate manager, broker, and key internal stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing necessary management information (M.I.) to monitor compliance, and producing reports for the managing agent and internal governance bodies.
- Conducting regulatory horizon scanning—particularly for Lloyd’s requirements—and summarizing findings for discussion with the business.
- Managing business timetables to ensure regulatory reporting deadlines are met within required timeframes.
- Responding to Know Your Customer (KYC) inquiries from third parties.
- Addressing ad-hoc information requests from Lloyd’s via the managing agent.
- Handling queries from within TFP and external third parties.
- Advising and supporting the compliance monitoring team as needed, including in areas involving Coverholders.
