Our client is a well-established mechanical & electrical contracting company that is very successful. The business works with a wide range of clients from high end residential organisations through to large commercial clients across Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. Working within many different sectors this company provide a full range of design, installation and maintenance services. The company’s commercial teams provide entire project management to architects, consultants, asset managers, builders and main contractors. The Requirement The company is now seeking to appoint a suitably experienced high calibre Managing Director with contracting company experience to lead and drive forwards this operation. Core Role & Responsibilities Generation and delivery of the company plans and budgets in full, both in terms of the commercial and service deliverables Attend all Management / Board meetings Play a significant role in the company’s planning and business strategy, commercially driving the business forward to further success Review existing processes and procedures, enhancing general operations Interface with all Business Managers offering technical and commercial support when required Support the estimating and bid teams where necessary, interfacing with the Commercial Director on a weekly basis and attending tender evaluation meetings Meet key clients on a regular basis and help to develop these relationships Support and review the structure of all business streams in order that they meet their key objectives Introduce strategic new customers/main contractors to the business where possible Continue to create an environment that motivates employees, ensuring that they are fully aware of what is expected of them and recognises their success Experience & Character Fit Proven operations leadership track record within contracting companies at a senior management level – ideally M&E Contractors but it could be any type of successful contracting business Evidential achievement of objectives, budgets, KPI’s, margin and continual improvement A proven leader of people with a measurable track record of creating successful operations Strong commercial, influencing and negotiating skills Goal focused with demonstrable reputation for delivery Passion for service excellence High energy levels to execute business decisions The Opportunity The chance to be a Managing Director A well-run company with a strong legacy Broad market sector client base Plenty of long-term clients, repeat business and an excellent pipeline Strong financials for the Group business Talented and stable senior management team #J-18808-Ljbffr
