Luther King are hiring a general maintenance person to support the smooth operations of the business during a period of exciting change and refurbishment.

Hours: 1.00pm – 6.00pm – Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required. We are happy to meet candidates who may want to explore flexible working hours.

Salary: £13.45 per hour paid weekly.

Duties:

  • To work alongside our other general maintenance person to cover reactive and scheduled maintenance on a daily basis in hotel bedrooms, meeting rooms, public areas and offices.
  • There may be times that working off-site is required.
  • Typical jobs involved in this role will include:
    • basic plumbing
    • electrical and joinery work
    • painting and decorating
    • compliance checks
    • cleaning
    • being able to assist in a variety of reasonable tasks as directed by the Operations Manager

Personal Qualities:

  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Although this role is not directly ‘public-facing,’ the successful applicant will need to respond in an appropriate manner to residents and guests.
  • Valid driving license would be preferred.
