Lusona Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a well-known Construction & Property business in Glasgow city centre for an experienced Management Accountant. This is a permanent opportunity offering significant career development in a growing, fast-paced commercial business. Our client is a multi-million pound turnover organisation with a Group Accounting structure.
The Management Accountant will join an established team with exposure to Business Partnering in addition to core management accounting and forecasting across key business activities. This role offers a competitive package of £50,000 - £53,000 + 33 days annual leave, 5% pension, health care, and company-specific benefits.
The Management Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and work alongside the wider finance team comprising Transactional and Qualified staff. The Management Accountant role sits at the heart of the organisation, producing high-quality monthly management accounts while also acting as a Finance Business Partner to operational and departmental leaders. You will work closely with budget holders to provide insight, challenge assumptions, and support informed decision-making across the Group.
The Role:
- Producing monthly management accounts with associated commentary
- Working with budget holders to explain financial performance, variances, and trends
- Assisting with cashflow forecasting, budgets, and VAT turnover reconciliations
- Supporting the month-end close process to deliver timely, reliable reporting
- Reviewing monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Building and working with financial models to provide planning & analysis
