Lusona Consultancy is proud to be working in partnership with a well-respected and growing housebuilder to recruit a Group Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a key role within an established finance team of four, supporting both new build and commercial development projects. As Group Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the group business planning and full management accounting cycle
  • Preparing statutory accounts and delivering board-level financial reporting
  • Supporting and driving the project appraisal process across developments
  • Monitoring spend, managing cashflow, and providing insightful financial analysis
  • Business partnering with commercial and operational teams, including architects and planners
  • Providing guidance on cost management across large-scale development projects
  • Managing and developing one direct report (Assistant Accountant)

This is a highly commercial role that combines financial reporting, planning, and project-focused analysis.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or CA)
  • Have strong management accounting and project accounting experience
  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence and challenge
  • Have experience presenting financial information at board level
  • Possess strong analytical skills, particularly around cashflow and project spend
  • Ideally have experience within property, construction, or capital projects
