We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a complex internal fit-out project based in Lanarkshire. This is a fixed-term contract initially scheduled for 5 months, with the opportunity to extend depending on project progression. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for on-site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day site activities on a busy fit-out project
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to maintain programme targets
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with design specifications and quality standards
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Enforce strict health & safety compliance, including site inductions and audits
- Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, including clients and senior management
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and site diaries
- Manage material deliveries and ensure efficient use of resources
- Conduct regular site meetings and toolbox talks
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
- Strong background in interiors / fit-out projects (essential)
- Experience managing complex internal refurbishment or high-quality fit-out works
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proactive problem-solving approach
Desirable
- Experience delivering projects in live or occupied environments
- Knowledge of high-spec commercial interiors
- Previous contract roles on fast-paced fit-out schemes
