We are proud to be partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Technical Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional to play a key role in ensuring product quality, supporting production processes, and providing expert technical guidance across the business.
Your New Role
As a Technical Engineer, you will take ownership of product verification, including inspection and testing, while supporting both production and sales teams with technical expertise. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with product specifications, supporting process improvements, and maintaining high quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing product verification, including inspection and testing activities
- Planning and prioritising inspection workloads in line with production and machine shop requirements
- Coordinating incoming and in-process inspections
- Providing technical support to production and sales teams, particularly around product specifications and raw material selection
- Maintaining PCN/ASNT Level II certification and administering team certifications
- Liaising with the Welding Team Leader on repairs and defect resolution
- Collaborating closely with the Quality Manager on quality-related matters
- Approving heat treatment and mechanical testing processes
- Producing technical drawings in line with client requirements
- Attending daily team leader and management meetings, providing updates on performance
- Supporting technical input on welding issues, including WPQRs
What Youll Need to Succeed
- A strong technical background with relevant industry experience
- Knowledge of inspection and testing processes within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience working with product specifications and material selection
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Relevant certifications (e.g. PCN/ASNT Level II) would be advantageous
