We are working with a well-respected professional services firm in Edinburgh to recruit a Legal Administrator to support their Commercial Property team. This is not a legal secretary or paralegal role, but instead a key support position, working closely with fee earners and acting as a central point of coordination for the team.

The Role

As Legal Administrator, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Commercial Property team, helping ensure matters progress smoothly from onboarding through to billing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Commercial Property team with day-to-day administrative and coordination duties, similar to a PA-style role
  • Managing new client onboarding, including registration papers and compliance documentation
  • Producing and maintaining WIP reports, monitoring financial progress on files, and supporting billing processes
  • Assisting with financial administration, including liaising with finance teams and handling related documentation
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring files are organised and compliant
  • Acting as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external third parties where required

About You

This role would suit someone from a professional services or legal background who enjoys being a trusted support within a busy team environment. You will ideally have:

  • Experience working within a legal or professional services environment (commercial property experience preferred but not essential)
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence working with financial information, reports, and internal systems
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A professional communication style and a team-focused mindset

What's on Offer

  • Salary up to £35,000, dependent on experience
  • Competitive holiday allowance and pension scheme
  • Primarily office-based role in Edinburgh, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility available
  • A supportive, professional working environment within a well-established firm
  • An excellent opportunity to secure a long-term administrative role supporting a commercial property practice

If you are an experienced legal or professional services administrator looking for a stable, team-focused role rather than fee-earning, this is an excellent opportunity.
