Full-time preferred | Term-time or Part-time considered

Lusona is delighted to be working exclusively with St Andrews Hospice to recruit a Schools & Community Fundraiser to join their dedicated and high-performing fundraising team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting one of Lanarkshire's most respected charities, helping to generate vital income that directly supports patients and families across the region.

About the Role

As a Schools & Community Fundraiser, you will nurture and grow relationships with nurseries, primary and secondary schools across Lanarkshire, as well as wider community supporters. You'll play a key role in delivering educational outreach, inspiring pupils and staff, and representing the Hospice at events and presentations.

A major part of the role involves supporting and coordinating some of the Hospice's flagship fundraising events, such as the Wear Yellow Walk, 6K Fun Run, Tinto Hill, and Ben Nevis challenge, ensuring they run smoothly and achieve their income targets. This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, confident in engaging with people, and passionate about community impact. While experience in the charity sector is desirable, it is not essential. Candidates with strong administration, coordination, or community engagement backgrounds will be fully considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop relationships with schools, nurseries, and community groups.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Coordinate and support major Hospice fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Identify new opportunities for income generation and supporter engagement.
  • Provide excellent stewardship to donors, volunteers, and event participants.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR, and health & safety requirements.
  • Represent the Hospice professionally at events and community activities.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Confidence in presenting to groups of all ages.
  • The ability to build relationships and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive, positive, and self-motivated approach.
  • Flexibility to support occasional evening/weekend events.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience within fundraising, education, events, or community engagement is beneficial but not essential.

Working Pattern

St Andrews Hospice ideally seeks a full-time team member (35 hours); however, they are open to considering term-time or part-time arrangements for the right candidate.
