A leading UK financial institution is looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to join its Corporate Banking & Structured Lending legal team.

Supporting a broad range of complex financing transactions, you'll work alongside senior stakeholders to provide commercially focused legal advice on high-value lending matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Banking & Finance lawyer looking to build an in-house career without sacrificing the quality or complexity of the work.

The Role

You'll advise on a broad range of Corporate Banking and Structured Lending matters, including:

  • Complex lending and finance transactions.
  • Reviewing and negotiating LMA documentation.
  • Advising senior stakeholders on legal and regulatory issues.
  • Working closely with external legal advisers on major transactions.
  • Managing legal risk while supporting commercial objectives.

About You

You'll be an England & Wales qualified solicitor with Banking & Finance experience gained either in private practice or in-house.

You'll also have

  • Experience advising on lending transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of LMA documentation.
  • Excellent commercial awareness.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach.

Experience of structured finance, infrastructure or project finance would be advantageous but isn't essential.
