Role Overview As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical systems for mission critical projects. Reporting to the Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Developing detailed mechanical designs for HVAC, chilled water, and specialist systems. Supporting project delivery from concept through to construction and commissioning. Collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external consultants to ensure design integrity. Conducting technical reviews, calculations, and system simulations. Assisting in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement. You will be involved in high-value, technically complex projects where precision and reliability are paramount. Requirements Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant subject. Proven experience in mechanical design engineering within mission critical sectors. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, and cleanroom design. Excellent proficiency in industry standard design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, IESVE, Hevacomp, etc. Excellent project management and communication skills. Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (CEng, IMechE or equivalent) is desirable.
