About the Role
Our client is an ambitious and expanding business seeking a Credit Controller to join them at a pivotal time. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for the full credit control process, managing consumer debt, driving improvements, and ensuring robust financial practices. Initially a standalone role, this position offers a genuine opportunity to build and lead a team as the company continues its growth journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end credit control and collections process for B2C customers
- Monitor aged debt and proactively reduce debtor days
- Liaise confidently and professionally with customers to resolve queries and secure payments
- Produce reports for the Financial Controller and senior leadership
- Develop processes and systems to improve efficiency and compliance
- Play a key role in shaping the future credit control function, including helping to recruit and mentor new team members as the business expands
About You
We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make the role their own. You will have:
- Proven experience in a credit control or debt collection role, ideally within a B2C business
- A high level of initiative, ownership, and accountability
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
