Our client is a long-established firm of accountants based in the south-side of Glasgow. They offer a wide range of accounting, taxation and business advisory support to a variety of OMB businesses and individuals. They currently seek an Accountant to join their team of eleven. Reporting to the Partners, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
- Ad-hoc preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Assisting with personal tax compliance
- Assisting with the occasional audit (optional)
- Working within set budgets and time scales
- Regular engagement with clients and colleagues
Skills required:
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience of working within professional practice
- Strong core skills of statutory accounts preparation for OMB clients
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong team player
This role would suit a part-qualified or QBE accountant looking to join a personable and reputable independent firm where work-life balance is valued.
