Lusona Consultancy are delighted to be supporting a professional services organisation based in Glasgow to recruit a Newly Qualified Accountant. This is an exciting role with a thriving organisation with considerable growth and investment in the sector. The Accountant will join an experienced team on a hybrid working basis within an ambitious and progressive environment. This role will oversee a portfolio of projects, as well as manage an accounts assistant, ensuring financial management and compliance across end-end financial activities.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing and reconciling core financial records across ledgers and systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintaining accruals, prepayments, and amortisation workings.
- Preparing management accounts, including variance analysis against budget.
- Overseeing cash book and loan schedule maintenance.
- Preparing statutory accounts and supporting documentation for year-end audits.
- Presenting finance reports to shareholders at quarterly project board meetings.
- Ensuring compliance with loan facility agreements and project deliverables.
- Maintaining financial models and preparing budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Taking minutes at project board meetings.
- Processing Companies House filings.
The Accountant will be given a generous benefits package from a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum with hybrid working, 33 days holiday, bonus and private health cover.
