Overview: As Site Manager, you will lead on‑site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the key point of contact on site, working closely with the wider project team to resolve issues and keep works progressing smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily site activities and workforce.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and logistics.
  • Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with project sequencing and programming.
  • Work collaboratively with the project manager to address and resolve on‑site challenges.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce all health & safety legislation, including CDM regulations.
  • Carry out inductions, RAMS reviews, and regular safety inspections.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant site environment.
  • Record and report all incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
  • Complete all statutory safety documentation through internal systems.

Quality Control:

  • Oversee workmanship to ensure all works meet specification.
  • Inspect, sign off, and record completed tasks.
  • Manage defects and snagging through to completion.
  • Ensure all materials and installations comply with client standards.
  • Carry out inspections in line with inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Support the project manager in maintaining the construction schedule.
  • Identify delays or risks early and implement mitigation plans.
  • Organise labour and materials in line with programme milestones.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Serve as the on‑site liaison for subcontractors and clients.
  • Provide daily/weekly updates to the internal project team.
  • Attend site meetings with internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain detailed site diaries, reports, and records.

Subcontractor Supervision:

  • Monitor subcontractor performance against method statements.
  • Ensure safe working practices and consistent quality standards.
  • Resolve on‑site issues swiftly and professionally.

What Experience Do You Require?

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, H&S regulations, and quality standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors on live sites.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Full UK driving licence.
