A new opportunity for a Private Client Tax Manager to join a specialist, growing Scottish Tax team within a large, market-leading firm. The team provides tax services and advice to both UK and International High-Net-worth clients, business owners and private equity executives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a talented team with strong ambition for growth and success. The business offers flexible/hybrid working and a strong commitment to developing and supporting employees to reach their full potential.

Managing a diverse and interesting portfolio of client engagements, you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with Partners and Senior Managers to maintain strong client relationships
  • Identifying business development opportunities to make connections with new clients
  • Providing advice on relevant tax technical issues and supporting colleagues with complex advisory projects
  • Supervising, mentoring, and managing junior members of the team, reviewing compliance work and providing feedback and coaching as required
  • Maintaining up-to-date tax technical knowledge, including keeping abreast of changes to legislation and tax law

This role would suit a Tax Manager or Assistant Manager with strong personal tax experience at review level. Experience of partnership tax and advising global/international clients on UK tax matters (e.g. non-dom, residence, UK returners/leavers) would be highly relevant. Experience of working with clients in the private equity/funds space would be beneficial, however this is not essential. You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
