Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Revit Technician - Building Services to join their growing multidisciplinary BIM team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Services professional with strong Revit and BIM coordination skills to contribute to the delivery of high-quality design solutions across a diverse range of sectors.

Working closely with engineers, technicians and design teams from multiple disciplines, you will be responsible for producing accurate and fully coordinated BIM models and technical drawings throughout all project stages. You'll play a key role in ensuring designs are practical, buildable and aligned with project requirements, while supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering projects in a collaborative environment.

This position is ideal for a technically skilled Revit Technician who enjoys working within multidisciplinary teams, has a strong understanding of Building Services systems, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality design information.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Produce fully coordinated discipline-specific 3D BIM models, schematic drawings, general arrangement drawings and detailed design deliverables.
  • Generate accurate Building Services design packages under the guidance of Senior Engineers and Senior Technicians.
  • Develop and maintain Revit and AutoCAD models in accordance with company and client standards.
  • Coordinate Mechanical Building Services systems and interfaces with other building disciplines.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, architects and external consultants to produce efficient and buildable design solutions.
  • Ensure all drawings, models and deliverables meet quality assurance standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough checks of your own work and support quality reviews of developing team members' outputs.
  • Produce model-generated outputs including schedules, room data sheets and associated project documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of COBie data and asset information deliverables.
  • Support multidisciplinary BIM coordination activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage workload effectively across multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Revit Technician, BIM Technician or Building Services Technician within a consultancy or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of Building Services engineering systems and their spatial coordination requirements.
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for 2D and 3D design production.
  • Experience producing coordinated Building Services models and drawings from concept through to detailed design stages.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Building Services systems including:
  • HVAC systems
  • Public Health systems
  • Coordination with structural, architectural and MEP disciplines
  • Understanding of construction processes and design coordination methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively under the supervision of Senior Engineers and Technicians.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance procedures.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Salary up to Β£35,000 per annum
