Role Overview
They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing Manchester team. This role involves taking responsibility for electrical building services design across a variety of challenging projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering mechanical systems across a diverse mix of projects.
- Assisting senior engineers in the full project lifecycle from concept and feasibility to detailed design stages.
- Conducting site surveys and attending client meetings.
- Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
- Collaborating with other disciplines and stakeholders.
- Contributing to team collaboration.
- Mentoring other junior engineers.
Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or relevant subject.
- 3+ years of proven experience in mechanical design within the building services sector.
- An existing security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IESVE, etc.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Working towards chartership (CIBSE or IET) is desirable.
