As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Civil & Structural design process from concept through to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects across our clients portfolio. This position offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects and influence the future of the built environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and coordinating the design process across Civil and Structural to achieve integrated solutions.
  • Leading design reviews and ensuring compliance with project requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams, external consultants, contractors and stakeholders to maintain design integrity and project objectives.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to design teams, fostering innovation and best practices.
  • Overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Supporting project delivery through all stages, including site visits, client meetings, and quality assurance checks.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related subject.
  • 8+ years of experience in C&S design management with a Tier-1 Contractor.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary design teams on complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning processes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in design coordination tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership is desirable.
