Role Overview
As Electrical Project Manager specializing in Renewables and HV, you will oversee the successful delivery of complex renewable energy projects like Wind Farms or Solar PV, from inception to completion. This role involves managing all aspects of electrical design, coordination, installation, and connection to the grid, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. You will act as the key interface between design teams, contractors, and stakeholders, driving efficiency and innovation throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to lead high-profile developments and make a significant impact on the built environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the planning, coordination, and delivery of Electrical systems across multiple renewable energy projects.
- Leading project meetings and ensuring effective communication between internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with UK regulations, health & safety standards, and sustainability objectives.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks while maintaining quality and performance benchmarks.
- Supporting design development and providing technical input during all project phases.
- Conducting site inspections and ensuring installation aligns with design specifications.
Requirements
- Degree in Building Services/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in project management with a Tier-1 contractor.
- Proven track record of delivering electrical packages on large-scale, Wind Farms, Solar PV or Data Centres.
- Strong understanding of UK regulations, health & safety standards, and sustainability principles.
- Proficiency in project management tools and familiarity with design software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Chartered status or working towards it (CEng, CIOB, or equivalent) is desirable.
