We are working in partnership with a specialist engineering and facilities services organisation operating within high-performance, regulated environments to recruit a Business Development lead for Facilities Services division based in Glasgow. This is a senior, client-facing position with a strong emphasis on business development, relationship management, and winning new contracts, alongside operational leadership.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growing facilities services function, driving both service delivery excellence and commercial growth. You will play a pivotal role in developing existing client accounts while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities, contributing directly to revenue growth and long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of facilities services across a portfolio of high-value, technically complex environments.
- Act as a senior client interface, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities for service expansion.
- Drive business development activity, including generating leads, developing proposals, and securing new contracts.
- Support and lead bid and tender processes, ensuring high-quality submissions and successful outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling services.
- Oversee operational performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and HSE standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to align operational delivery with wider commercial strategy.
About You
- Proven experience in a client-facing leadership role within facilities management, engineering services, or a related sector.
- Strong track record in business development and winning new contracts.
- Experience managing technical or complex service environments (ideally within regulated or critical settings).
- Commercially astute with experience contributing to bids, tenders, and account growth.
