Our client is looking for an ambitious Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their Edinburgh design team.
Role Overview
As a Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and specification of electrical building services systems ensuring all deliverables are covered. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed electrical designs using industry-standard software
- Conducting site surveys and attending client meetings.
- Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting junior engineers and contributing to team collaboration.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or relevant subject.
- Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Relux, Amtech/Trimble, etc.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Working towards chartership (CIBSE or IMechE) is desirable.
