Role Overview
The Electrical Technical Manager will act as the technical authority for Electrical design, providing strategic oversight, technical assurance, and mentorship across multiple high-value projects. This is a senior leadership role suited to a highly accomplished mechanical design professional with deep technical expertise and a passion for driving engineering excellence. You will play a pivotal role in shaping design standards, reviewing complex solutions, and supporting project teams through all stages of the lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership and governance across mechanical design delivery
- Acting as the subject matter expert for complex electrical building services systems
- Reviewing and approving detailed designs, calculations, and specifications

Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in electrical building services design within the UK construction or engineering sector
- Proven track record in a principal or associate-level role, with exposure to technically complex or large-scale projects
- Exceptional knowledge of electrical systems, sustainable solutions, and energy-efficient design principles
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and relevant industry standards
- Demonstrable experience in design assurance, technical review, and problem-solving at an advanced level
- Leadership experience, with the ability to guide, influence, and mentor engineering teams
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
