The Role
Due to continued growth and an internal reorganisation, SiBCAS is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Finance Manager to join its Head Office team in Bathgate. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a broad and commercially involved role, with responsibility for managing the day‑to‑day finance function and ownership of the monthly management accounts. You will work closely with operational, project, and sales teams, contributing to both operational delivery and strategic decision‑making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Oversight of Sales Ledger (AR) and Purchase Ledger (AP) month‑end processes
- Control and oversight of billing across major projects
- Support VAT returns, PAYE (including CIS), and other statutory reporting
- Assist with Corporation Tax and Deferred Tax processes
- Support year‑end statutory accounts preparation and the external audit
- Conduct internal audits across multiple sites
- Deliver KPI reporting and performance analysis
- Cost analysis, income matching, and verification
- Support stock control and related reporting
- Maintain and control the fixed asset register
- Support the development of manufacturing and production costings
- Provide commercial finance support to project and sales teams
- Act as a key finance contact across the wider business
- Drive improvements in systems, processes, and financial controls
- Support ad hoc projects as required
About You
- Qualified accountant (CA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Minimum 3 years’ post‑qualification experience
- Experience in a similar role and/or industry is desirable
- Strong experience producing monthly management accounts
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central advantageous
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proactive, well organised, and comfortable working on your own initiative
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships at all levels of the business
