Lusona Consultancy is working with a Public Sector organisation on the outskirts of Glasgow to recruit a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their growing team. The role requires strong technical and management reporting experience and a desire to partner with operational teams to improve business performance. The Financial Accountant will report to the Director of Finance on a permanent basis working over a 37 hour working week. The salary is £47,132 per annum and includes a hybrid working week, generous pension and benefits scheme and holiday allowance.
Responsibilities:
- Statutory accounting, year‑end reporting and liaising with auditors.
- Providing detailed management accounts across a range of service lines.
- Balance sheet reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Reporting to the management team and providing insights across bids and tendering processes.
- Business partnering services to grow capability and service offering.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant, either from the profession or industry.
- Experience working under IFRS/SORP rules preferred.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build rapport with financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
Benefits:
