The Opportunity
Joining a Personal Tax team of two and reporting directly to the Tax Manager, you will manage a varied and interesting portfolio of clients spanning a broad range of personal and business circumstances. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Personal Tax computations and Self-Assessment tax returns
- Managing a diverse portfolio including:
- Sole Traders
- Company Directors
- Partnerships
- High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs)
- Property Developers
- Pensioners
- Preparing P11Ds
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Liaising directly with clients to request information and respond to queries
- Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance obligations are met
- Assisting with personal tax advisory work alongside senior team members on occasion
This is a predominantly compliance-focused role with the added opportunity to gain broader exposure to advisory matters and develop professionally over time.
Who We’re Looking For
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- A minimum of 3–4 years’ Personal Tax compliance experience
- Experience working within Accountancy Practice or Tax environments
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive and client-focused approach
- Confidence communicating directly with clients and managing relationships
ATT qualification is preferred, although candidates with strong relevant experience and practical expertise will also be considered.
