A leading UK law firm is seeking a qualified solicitor with a passion for innovation and legal technology to join its forward-thinking Practice Development function. This is a unique opportunity to step beyond traditional fee-earning and play a key role in shaping how legal services are delivered through smarter working, process improvement, and the adoption of cutting-edge technology.
You will join a high-performing, award-winning innovation team focused on enhancing client service delivery and driving meaningful change across the business.
This position sits at the intersection of law, technology, and process improvement. You will support firm-wide initiatives aimed at modernising legal delivery, improving efficiency, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promoting and embedding innovative 'smarter working' practices across the firm
- Leading and supporting process improvement and transformation projects
- Acting as a subject matter expert on legal technology tools and platforms
- Supporting the identification, testing, and rollout of AI and other emerging legal technologies
- Analysing usage data and feedback to optimise tool adoption and effectiveness
- Managing and coordinating innovation projects from scoping through to delivery
- Developing and delivering training on legal tech, AI literacy, and digital skills
- Creating practical resources to support colleagues in adopting new tools and ways of working
About You
- Qualified solicitor (PQE not critical)
- Demonstrable interest and experience in legal innovation, legal tech, or process improvement
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and organised approach
- Commercially aware with a passion for improving legal service delivery
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
