About the Role:
Our client are seeking an experienced and highly organised Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of construction fit-out projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
You will be required to provide management across a number of areas including:
- Site Leadership & Coordination
- Manage daily site operations and workforce.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries.
- Hold morning briefings and toolbox talks.
- Ensure work is carried out in line with project programming and sequencing.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all H&S legislation including CDM regulations.
- Conduct site inductions, RAMS reviews, and regular safety inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant site at all times.
- Ensure all incidents, near misses, and accidents are recorded and reported.
- Quality Control
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all works meet specification.
- Review and sign off completed tasks.
- Identify defects and manage snagging through to completion.
- Ensure materials and installations meet client standards.
- Communication & Reporting
- Act as the primary on-site contact for contractors and interface with the client to ensure their day-to-day operations are maintained.
- Provide daily/weekly progress updates to the project team to inform the overall progress report for project.
- Attend meetings with internal teams and external contractors.
- Maintain detailed site diaries and documentation.
- Subcontractor Supervision
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure method statements are followed.
- Resolve site-based issues quickly and professionally.
- Ensure safe working practices and high-quality standards throughout.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Manager in construction or fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
