This is not a back‑office processing job. This is a front‑line finance role sitting at the heart of some of the most sophisticated investment vehicles in the world — hedge funds, private equity, quant strategies and family offices — where what you produce directly drives investor decisions. If you’re an accountant who doesn’t just tick boxes but actually asks "why?", this is where you level up.
A leading global investment platform is expanding its Glasgow operations and is hiring multiple Fund Accountants as part of a long‑term growth strategy for 2026 and beyond.
You’ll own full end‑to‑end fund accounting for complex alternative investment structures — not just preparing numbers, but analysing them, challenging them and explaining them to demanding institutional clients.
You’ll be exposed to:
- Hedge funds, private equity, quant and family office structures
- Daily NAVs, full P&L and balance sheet ownership
- Performance analysis, fee calculations and investor allocations
- Direct interaction with clients and relationship managers
- Global teams across the US, Europe and Asia
What you’ll be doing:
You will take full responsibility for your own client portfolio, including:
- Producing and reviewing daily Net Asset Values (NAVs)
- Analysing P&L movements, reconciliations and trading activity
- Reviewing capital activity and corporate actions
- Preparing month‑end P&L and balance sheets for client sign‑off
- Calculating and allocating management and performance fees
- Producing investor‑level reporting
- Working with client relationship managers to resolve queries and support client initiatives
It’s hands‑on, analytical, and fast‑paced — perfect for people who enjoy getting under the hood of numbers rather than just processing them.
Who this suits:
We’re targeting ambitious accountants who want more than a safe, static role. You’ll fit if you are:
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or CA
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience in accounts production, financial analysis or audit within practice, industry or financial services
- Curious, commercially aware and not afraid to question numbers
- Comfortable working to deadlines in a dynamic environment
Why people move here:
Because…
- Exposure to elite global investment clients
- Genuine technical depth and commercial relevance
- Clear career progression in a growing international business
- World‑class training and development
- Study support for ACCA, CIMA or CA if part‑qualified
- A modern hybrid working model (3 days in, 2 from home)
