Lusona is recruiting an Infrastructure Tax Manager to join a specialist Deals Tax team advising leading infrastructure funds, institutional investors, corporates and private investors. The team advises across established and rapidly evolving infrastructure markets, with exposure to utilities, transport, renewable energy, technology infrastructure and other major assets.
Crucially, this position is available in Glasgow as well as London, Manchester and Birmingham, making it a particularly interesting proposition for Scottish transaction tax professionals.
The role
- Advise throughout the transaction lifecycle, including:
- Tax Due Diligence on acquisitions and disposals
- Identifying and quantifying historic and potential tax risks
- Advising investors on transaction structuring
- Developing efficient acquisition and disposal structures
- Advising on Corporation Tax, withholding taxes and employment tax implications
- Reviewing tax assumptions within financial models
- Working alongside investment banks, lawyers and other professional advisers
- Coordinating input from VAT, Stamp Taxes, Capital Allowances, Treasury and other specialists
- Preparing client proposals and market updates
- Supporting business development and technical training
Person specification
We’re interested in tax professionals with experience across some or all of:
- Tax Due Diligence
- Vendor Assistance
- Transaction Structuring
- Tax Modelling
- Funds flow
- Management tax planning
- SPA reviews
- Post-deal implementation
- Infrastructure/PFI transaction work
You’ll also need strong project management, communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to handle several complex transactions simultaneously.
