A highly regarded UK law firm is seeking a Newly Qualified to 2 PQE Solicitor to join its Private Wealth & Tax practice in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad private client practice within a technically strong and supportive team that advises a diverse client base, including individuals, families, trustees and charities.
The Role
- Work across a wide range of private wealth matters, including:
- Will and trust drafting and administration
- Tax and succession planning
- Executry and estate administration
- Advice relating to adults with incapacity
- Contentious and international probate matters
- Generational and wealth structuring
The team operates collaboratively with colleagues across related practice areas, offering exposure to varied and high-quality work.
Candidate Profile
- Newly qualified solicitor or up to 2 years’ PQE in private client/private wealth
- Sound technical grounding with the ability to draft with increasing autonomy
- Strong communication skills, able to explain legal issues clearly to clients and colleagues
- Well organised, with effective time and file management skills
- Commercially aware and interested in client development and relationship building
- Keen to contribute positively to a collaborative team environment
Key Responsibilities
- Managing matters with appropriate supervision
- Drafting wills, trust documentation and related papers
- Assisting with client meetings and relationship management
- Managing time recording, billing and WIP responsibly
