The role
- You’ll sit at the centre of the firm’s R&D client portfolio, working across technology, life sciences and manufacturing businesses, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial value at every stage.
- It is an oversight role – less doing; more owning, reviewing, leading and developing.
- Your remit will include:
- Managing a portfolio of Corporate Tax and R&D clients
- Reviewing and signing off tax computations and returns, ensuring R&D claims are correctly embedded
- Overseeing junior staff who prepare the underlying work—driving quality and consistency
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients on R&D incentives, structuring and compliance
- Managing HMRC enquiries relating to R&D claims
- Identifying opportunities to expand and evolve the R&D service line

- Strong experience across Corporate Tax AND R&D Tax
- Proven ability to integrate R&D claims into tax computations and returns
- ATT / CTA / CA / ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Experience at review level
