Part time hours: Monday-Friday 11am-5pm (open to discussing working hours further upon request, please state the hours you are available to work in your application) Lush Cosmetics was founded 31 years ago. Throughout the years, the business has been driven by passion, ethics and an eagerness to create outside-of-the-box thinking. Every handmade creation is crammed with fruit, flowers, vegetables and essential oils, making Lush pioneers of beauty products such as the ballistic bath bomb, solid shampoo bars and shower gels, to name but a few.
The Green Hub is Lush’s internal repair, reuse and recycling plant, responsible for the important work of processing all waste streams from the manufacturing sites, as well as the packaging returned by customers in store.
As a goal, we aim to make our internal and customer packaging as circular as possible, making sure materials are recycled back into packaging (closed loop). The Green Hub is instrumental in making that happen and is considered key to Lush’s vision of 'leaving the world Lusher than we found it'.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic and reliable seasonal temporary cleaner to join the team in our Hub. Working on a set shift pattern, you will help maintain our high standards of hygiene and, if applicable, assist the production team once your cleaning tasks are complete. Please note: We may close this vacancy early if we receive an overwhelming response or our business requirements change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy offices, communal areas and restrooms
- Deep cleaning routinely
- You will be expected to look after one building with the flexibility of covering sickness and holiday at other sites (all located on Nuffield Industrial Estate)
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Monitor and coordinate waste - using correct recycling processes
- Be able to stand on your feet during your working hours
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness
Skills and Experience:
- Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage
- A passion for cleaning
- An outgoing and friendly personality with a positive, can-do attitude
- Possess the ability to prioritise tasks and manage your own time and workload
