Diversity matters. We are building a brand that represents the people of the world. It’s what you do that counts, and we are always looking to expand perspectives and voices to shape our future. We see you, we celebrate you, we want you!

Who we are: You might know us as the inventors of the bath bomb, but there’s more to this great-smelling, partly employee-owned, family-run company than pioneering cosmetics. We believe our business should put more back into the world than it takes and demonstrate that capitalism can be a force for good. The Living Wage Foundation's statement 'a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay' is one that we are proud to commit to in the UK. As an accredited Living Wage employer, we put our people first and fight cruel practices like animal testing, promote regeneration, and show that it is what’s inside that counts - whether that’s an ingredient in a product, or the minerals in a smartphone.

The team: The Green Hub is Lush’s internal repair, reuse and recycling plant responsible for processing all waste streams from the manufacturing sites, as well as the packaging returned by customers in our stores. The facility houses several core functions, including Lush’s internal Spa laundry, Repairs & Maintenance workshop, Moulds production, Product Donations department and the 'Shop Again' store, where employees can purchase discontinued Lush merchandise. The Green Hub also acts as an important engagement space, promoting Lush’s ethical and environmental values. The team regularly hosts tours, events, and workshops for internal departments, PR guests, local businesses, and charities.

The Role: As the first point of contact, you will welcome and assist all internal and external visitors, guiding them to the correct areas and providing five-star customer service. You will lead Green Hub tours for employees, suppliers, and visitors, and host events for local schools, charities, and businesses. You will also support ad hoc tasks as needed, acting as a key contact for anything that arises throughout the day. You’ll be passionate about the Green Hub's environmental values and goals and keen to engage stakeholders, creating a buzz around the work we do. There is huge room to grow here as the Green Hub blossoms. We need a passionate advocate to help shape our future and establish the Hub as an essential anchor for our Poole community. If you have the drive to turn big ethical ideas into a reality, you’ll find a home here to develop your career and leave a lasting legacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visitor Experience & Engagement: Be the Face of the Green Hub, delivering world-class, five-star service to every guest, acting as a passionate Brand Ambassador while hosting tours and sharing our circular economy story. Build a Community Ecosystem by managing the Tours inbox and proactively nurturing relationships with schools, local businesses, and community partners to scale our social and environmental impact. Drive Circular Innovation by leading creative initiatives—like the ‘Shop Again’ public openings and waste-to-product collaborations with local start-ups—to prove that “waste” is just a resource in the wrong place. Act as a bridge between teams, working closely with Manufacturing to reduce waste at the source and supporting Retail to boost “Bring It Back” returns.
  • Events & Tours: End-to-end coordination of workshops and tours, including scheduling, staffing, and catering, ensuring every event runs like clockwork. Keep our tour scripts fresh and inspiring. Partner with Manufacturing PR to spot “news-worthy” moments for LinkedIn, press, and content creators. Collaborate on internal events and PR visits, managing everything from room setups to complex scheduling. Oversee the room-hire charging mechanism, ensuring all bookings are accurately invoiced and records are meticulously maintained.
  • Studio & Site Operations: Serve as the primary point of contact for the site, balancing a warm, “Lush” welcome with a strict adherence to safety and security protocols. Manage the day-to-day “vibe” of the studio—from managing post and deliveries to restocking refreshments, caring for our greenery, and maintaining the Lush Library. Mentor and guide junior staff in the Studio and Shop. Liaise with the Building Manager to ensure site security and seamless opening/closing procedures.
  • The Shop Again & Marketplace: Develop and execute creative strategies to increase footfall and sales, turning the Shop Again into a must-visit destination. Champion the reuse and resale of items returning to the Green Hub, managing their journey through the physical shop or our online Marketplace. Keep the wider business in the loop with regular updates on opening hours, special events, and new stock arrivals.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Essential: Experience supporting or leading engagement initiatives or community events, or in a front-of-house/customer service role. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Confident in public speaking, with the ability to adapt communication style for different audiences (up to 15 people). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, etc.). Passionate about Lush's ethics, sustainability, and mission to leave the world Lusher than we found it, and enthusiastic about the work of the Green Hub.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with health and safety or visitor protocols in public-facial environments. Knowledge of circular economy, waste reduction, or sustainability principles.
