Diversity matters. We are building a brand that represents the people of the world. It’s what you do that counts, and we are always looking to expand perspectives and voices to shape our future. We see you, we celebrate you, we want you!

You might know us as the inventors of the bath bomb, but there’s more to this great-smelling, partly employee-owned, family‑run company than pioneering cosmetics. We believe our business should put more back into the world than it takes and demonstrate that capitalism can be a force for good. The Living Wage Foundation’s statement 'a hard day's work deserves a fair day's pay' is one that we are proud to commit to in the UK. As an accredited Living Wage employer, we put our people first and fight cruel practices like animal testing, promote regeneration, and show that it is what’s inside that counts - whether that’s an ingredient in a product, or the minerals in a smartphone.

Buying is firmly embedded at the heart of Lush. We are a passionate, committed team dedicated to ‘leaving the world Lusher than we found it’ through everything we do.

This is a rare chance to join the UK Buying Team as a Creative Buyer, sourcing top-quality construction & store design materials, consumables, and goods for our Spa and Hair Lab categories. In this role, you will be directly responsible for managing business costs by leveraging strong communication, research, and problem‑solving skills, while utilising and strengthening your negotiation expertise.

Please note: We may close this vacancy early if we receive an overwhelming response or our business requirements change.

  • Sourcing & Negotiation: Own the commercial negotiations for your remit. Research and analyse materials to improve their environmental and social impact, including reducing waste across the product life cycle.
  • Project Management & Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Design, Shop & Space Planning, Hair Lab, Spa, R&D & Manufacturing) and suppliers to deliver innovative design solutions on time.
  • Cost & Savings Management: Run cost comparisons and annual tenders to maintain competitive pricing and identify savings opportunities.
  • Supply Security: Build a comprehensive supplier database, including backup suppliers and approved alternative products, to ensure business continuity.
  • Global Support: Support Global teams (including Partner markets and local design teams) with localised procurement while maintaining a consistent global approach.
  • Inventory & Resourcing: Monitor and resource existing items as needed to meet ongoing retail shop demands.
  • Market Research & Education: Visit suppliers and trade shows to find new innovations, and host internal/external training on buying ethics and values.
