Are you passionate about LUSH products and dedicated to providing exceptional spa experiences? Do you have a genuine desire to care and help people relax? If so, we would love for you to join our team as a LUSH Spa Therapist at our Cardiff Store and Spa. This is a part‑time position (22 hours per week) with availability on four days including at least one weekend day.
Onboarding will begin on 15 June 2026 at LUSH Spa Cardiff, where you will learn about the brand, meet colleagues, and begin training. After onboarding you will attend a six‑week training course in Poole, Dorset (22 June – 31 July 2026). Travel expenses and accommodations in Poole will be covered by LUSH. Working hours are 22 hours per week, with flexibility around peak trading times. Availability must include Thursday, Friday and Saturday or Sunday.
As a LUSH Spa Therapist, you will deliver a range of spa treatments, create a calming atmosphere, and promote the spa and its offerings. You will act as a brand ambassador for LUSH, ensuring high standards of hygiene, customer service, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Treatment Delivery: Deliver a variety of spa treatments to the highest standard, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all treatments offered, including contraindications, benefits, and aftercare advice. Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both clients and colleagues. Be punctual and reliable, ensuring clients are seen on time and their treatment journey flows smoothly.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for every client. Build rapport with clients, actively listening to their needs and preferences to personalise their experience. Offer expert advice on Lush products and treatments, recommending suitable options based on individual needs. Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally and empathetically.
- Teamwork & Communication: Work collaboratively with the spa teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the spa. Communicate effectively with colleagues, sharing information and providing support as needed. Participate in team meetings and training sessions, contributing to the ongoing development of the spa.
- Sales & Promotion: Actively promote spa treatments and products to clients, upselling add-on treatments and retail items where appropriate. Support the spa in achieving its business goals by driving awareness and encouraging bookings. Participate in promotional activities and events, representing the spa and the LUSH brand positively.
- Spa & Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of LUSH products and their benefits, confidently recommending suitable options to clients. Stay up-to-date on new product launches, treatment updates, and company initiatives. Participate in product knowledge training and actively seek opportunities to expand your expertise.
- Professional Development: Take responsibility for your own professional development, seeking out opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Actively participate in training sessions and performance reviews, utilising feedback to improve your performance. Learn new treatments and techniques to expand your repertoire and offer a wider range of services to clients.
- Shop Floor Support: When not performing treatments, provide support to the shop floor team, acting as an extension of the spa. Engage with customers on the shop floor, offering consultations and promoting spa treatments and products. Utilise time on the shop floor as a learning opportunity, observing colleagues, and expanding your product knowledge.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a brand ambassador for Lush, embodying the company's values and commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. Share your passion for Lush products and treatments with clients, inspiring them to discover the benefits of natural ingredients and handcrafted products. Participate in company-wide initiatives and campaigns, promoting the Lush brand and its ethical values.
- An NVQ Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy or equivalent in Holistic Therapy, which includes full-body massage.
- Availability to work Friday and at least one weekend day.
- At least 1 year of practical work experience within a similar role and location performing body massages and facials.
- Excellent customer service and treatments.
- Passionate about representing the LUSH brand, ethics and products both on the shop floor and in the Spa.
