Description

We are a global cosmetics company operating in 47 countries, committed to sustainability and ethical practices. This role is part of the Lush Global Digital Limited and Lush Limited teams on a 12‑month contract.

The position offers an opportunity to work within an evolving finance team, collaborating closely with key members in both businesses to improve shared finance processes. It is well suited to someone studying towards finance qualifications with energy, commitment, and a desire to contribute to a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficient processing of multi‑currency invoices/credit notes
  • Maintaining a paperless office approach
  • Weekly AP reporting review to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Ownership of the monthly intercompany process (sales ledger and intercompany reconciliations)
  • Preparation of monthly intercompany payments
  • Sales ledger credit control
  • Employee credit‑card management
  • Responsibility for balance‑sheet controls and reconciliations to ensure the financial integrity of the company’s management accounts (including payroll controls, IT stock, expenses/advances, prepayments, revenue accruals)
  • Business tools reporting and monthly journal allocations
  • Monthly LGDL sales invoice processing and supporting documentation
  • Updating and maintaining the fixed‑asset register, including calculating and posting the monthly depreciation charge and reconciling to the nominal ledger
  • Supporting the Management Accountant and Finance Manager in providing quality and accurate production of monthly management accounts
  • Support annual audit when required
  • Ad‑hoc reporting as required
  • Ad‑hoc support for other finance teams within Lush
  • Support the internal tax team when requested (PSA, IR35)
  • Support and training for non‑finance team members on paper‑less systems used for invoice and expenses processes – including Quadient and Rydoo
  • Review the AMEX and credit‑card Lush Limited control accounts
  • Global recharges in for Lush Limited
  • Recharges in and out with Lush Manufacturing and Cosmetic Warriors Limited for Lush Limited recharges

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Interest in sustainable and ethical supply chains and Lush values
  • Adaptable, friendly and ready to take on challenges
  • Strong communication skills and a ‘can‑do’ attitude
  • Clear understanding of basic accounting principles (accruals/prepayments)
  • Studying towards finance qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Experience in a finance role with at least 2 years working in a team
  • Experience using Xero desirable
  • Quick to understand Lush finance infrastructure, processes and systems, and open to innovation and improvement
  • Hands‑on and enthusiastic
