The challenges you’ll help us tackle:
Over the next 12 to 18 months, Lunio is tackling some important people challenges that sit at the intersection of performance, growth, and experience. We are raising the bar on performance and expectations, and we need managers who feel confident and supported to have clear, fair, and sometimes difficult conversations. A core challenge is improving management quality and consistency without losing trust or momentum. We are evolving our operating model and ways of working. Change is a constant in a scaling environment, and one of the challenges you’ll help solve is translating strategic shifts into clear priorities, behaviours, and decisions in day to day work. We care deeply about excellence, impact, and speed, and we want those values to show up in how it feels to work here, not just in what we build. That means designing thoughtful, scalable people experiences that genuinely make work better. We listen to our people through engagement surveys and employee voice channels, and we want to get better at turning feedback into insight and action, building trust that listening leads to meaningful change. You won’t be expected to have all the answers from day one. What matters is sound judgment, curiosity, and the confidence to learn quickly in a fast moving environment. If these are the kinds of problems you enjoy getting stuck into, this role will give you both the mandate and the space to do so.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- You will act as a trusted advisor and coach to managers, supporting them across performance management, development, difficult conversations, organisational change, and people related decision making.
- You will partner with managers to build clear, practical departmental people plans aligned to business priorities, capability needs, and team health.
- You will play a key role in embedding a high performance culture through effective performance management, coaching, development initiatives, and pragmatic wellbeing support.
- You will provide guidance and support on specific team challenges, such as retention risks, wellbeing concerns, or interpersonal conflict, handling these with care and good judgment.
- Alongside partnering, you will help design and deliver People Experience initiatives at Lunio.
- You will treat People Experience as a product, contributing to programmes, rituals, and ways of working that enable growth and clarity as the business scales.
- You will help run employee voice and engagement mechanisms and contribute to first line people insight and analysis, using feedback and data to inform recommendations and prioritisation.
- You will contribute to scalable solutions that build manager capability, including manager learning sessions, shared standards, and communities of practice.
What we’re looking for:
- You have experience in a People Business Partner or similar role and are looking for your next step in a scaling organisation.
- You are confident supporting managers with performance conversations and development planning, and you are continuing to build your experience across employee relations and organisational change.
- You bring strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- You are also comfortable working with ambiguity and enjoy building and improving ways of working rather than inheriting finished systems.
- You are curious, reflective, and open to learning, with a genuine interest in how People practices evolve as companies grow.
- Experience running engagement surveys, employee voice channels, or people feedback mechanisms is something we’d also like to hear about in your application.
- Most of all, you’ll need to be a person that enjoys building and improving systems, not just inheriting them.
Why join Lunio:
You’ll have real ownership over the day to day People Experience, with close access to leadership and the opportunity to influence how People works as the business grows. You will report into Lunio’s Chief of Staff, working closely together as the People function continues to evolve. This role is designed to provide meaningful ownership alongside support, challenge, and the opportunity to learn from someone with experience building People systems in scaling companies. This role is designed to evolve; as Lunio scales, there will be scope to deepen responsibility and impact over time. You’ll join a business that values excellence, impact, and speed, and that cares about doing People work thoughtfully and well.
