We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Electrician’s Mate to join our team, providing essential support to qualified electricians on various projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade, with potential progression opportunities towards becoming a fully qualified electrician.
As an Electrician’s Mate, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a range of environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.
Responsibilities- Assist electricians in installing electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power systems.
- Support with measuring, cutting, and fitting cables, conduits, and other electrical components.
- Carry out basic installation, testing, and troubleshooting under supervision.
- Prepare and organise tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks.
- Keep job sites clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Follow instructions accurately and work alongside team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components is advantageous.
- Ability to work safely and follow health and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions closely.
